Taken ...

The wind is harsh
as it bites through my skin,

numbing my senses

I try to recapture memories

of yesterday,

with this antagonist

I leave the grave site

 so cold.

cold spring - updated, It's been 2 years.

of you
 no longer dance
before me,
the brown sofa
where you'd lay
is painfully empty
no longer do I see
your loyal eyes
looking back at me
or feel your cold nose
against my face,
your hot breath
to wake me. 
all of you still I miss
for you my friend,
were taken
in an instance
far to soon
for my heart to accept.
