Again...

Again and Again

Darkness falls without warning,
casting shadows
upon my soul.
snuffing out
all life I feel.
laughter disappear's;
feelings of dread
brings doubt,
mocks
all possibilities;
there in it all dies,
my optimism,
my plans,
my dreams,
all dissipates.
Thrust into a place
no longer familiar.
Disoriented,
nevertheless
can't deny
my reality;
always to be
a part of me
I have no say,
Simply
out of my hands.
I tell myself,
wait,
be safe,
hide,
ride it out.
My convictions
are weak,
frozen in thought,
hoping for light,
not able to predict
when it will shine
hoping
waiting
the cycle
darkness to light
light to darkness
makes no sense
time means nothing
only losses
   and I have to rebuild
                              Again.

Because silence is one of the hardest arguments to refute. The words are unspoken. And yet it communicates so much. It's so profound, so loud, and so far, that it fills you like an unbroken hum. So soft, yet as far-reaching and clear as a star.

The Nature of things.

I threw a stone into still waters, ripples circled wide, emotions within ironically came to the surface; awakening aching heart, ...
